The Unknown Earth

The Unknown Earth

A Poem by Rashi Jain

I stepped on the unknown earth,
possessed by the most beautiful spirits,
with the snowy white shine scattered in the dark,
Peace and blessings crossing my forehead,
Not even a single moment I refused to smile,
the stars touched the ground and the differences were hence erased,
I wondered if I belong here.

I touched those trees of love,
when passion reached me,
I stepped forth hoping to see more,
As in this world I wanted to be.

I reached the blue pearls of nature,
Calm and soothing,
But noises broke the silence,
and I did felt down .

For I saw demons beating each other with weapons the nature hated,
And did mourn she and I did the same.
For now I realised I did belong here,
But now I belong to the known world
As good as hell,
With cruelty and blood.

I had to accept the truth,
For now I had to go back.
But today even I wonder,
If I had been into a world like that.

It is sad. Your words are true.
"For I saw demons beating each other with weapons the nature hated,
And did mourn she and I did the same.
For now I realised I did belong here,
But now I belong to the known world
As good as hell,
With cruelty and blood. "
The above lines. Realistic thoughts. When I was young . Utopia was coming. 32 hours work weeks and peace. Forgotten. Powerful words and thoughts dear Poet. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

This actually reflects what we see the world as a child, something amazing and wonderful. And then as we get older we see all of the ugly things it has to offer. Then is when we need to decide if we are living in a world of love corrupted by hate, or a world of hate where love gets extinguished. Very insightful :)

I did notice one little mistake I thought I should point out:

"But noises broke the silence,
and I did felt down"

These lines are great but the second one reads a little odd. Maybe you meant 'and I did fall down''? or 'feel down'.

Aside from that, wonderful job!
