When You Break a Writer's Heart

When You Break a Writer's Heart

A Poem by Rashi Jain
"

Dedicated to all Writers 💕

"

Not blood but words bleed from a Writer's heart,
When it is torn and left without bandages.
The Ink keeps falling on the sheets full of you,
But don't worry, there's no name.
The world will never know, it was you.
And that is what she wants.
But everyone will know, there exists someone like you,
And that is what she aims.
For the words written in agony force them
to dive into the light so true.
And the scars heal,
But the pages only turn yellow.
They never die.
And so do you,
because of her.

You will regret.
And you will never know why.
And that is the power,
That resides in her agony.
That even if no one will understand,
She will make the world cry.
Because,
You broke a writer's heart.
And her heart is what Everyone loves to read.

We often read about heartbreak from those mercilessly dumped by the “one” and left for dead on the side of the proverbial highway of love. These stories/poems seem to be everywhere; there's no lack of verbiage surrounding the disappointments of having your heart broken. I also found your write heart-rending, yet interesting, in your perspective of the subject matter! Good write …. :-)

A little eviscerating at the start, kind of gave me chills (torn heart reference). But 'words bleed' reminded me of my previous self, when I used to use the same phrases. This poetry is powerful as many others have mentioned; the aestheticity also lies in the way you have assembled the ideas (pages only turn yellow, power residing in her agony, and some other references too). I do not usually talk about the essence but mainly about the structure and basic elements that sets up a poem. And I will have to say this was a good penning from the framework of imagery. Keep it up.

so broken like what I am. I saw myself in this poem. one co writer told me, you could only write good poems or should I say great ones if you are the happiest man in the world or much when you are the most broken that like what you wrote "words bleed from a writer's heart" and that "ink is falling on sheets full of you" keep on writing Miss seventeen year-old poet ^^

i left writing poems 2 years back now when i open my account i saw a reading request after reading it , i got a same sense of eerie attitude towards things which once i had in my pocket .now u r going to be a source of my return in this platform u really inspire me to come out of closet again .About poem writers life and words are eternal ,immutable ,ethereal ,and if somebody dares to rob the soul of writers then agony slams his volition via ink steps .so u r a real fighter when it comes to fight with human emotions well constructed and thank u for inspiring me dear :)

You're welcome. ☺
i love this piece. it's not a basic piece, and it is way moreno mindful. i love how you express the emotion of a writer, it's very true and accurate. especially the part about no one knowing who it's about, always anonymous. i'm so in love with this piece, keep up the great work!

Wow! This is the most beautiful sad poem sad poem I've read this far😊 you've beautiful described, how a writer pours all her writer feeling s on a page when she has a painful love story, and that deep hurt, unsharable with probably no one...And then our pen pen becomes the sword and the pages the most patient assets! We bleed there, we weep there, we cry, we show love, anger, and disgust, and it all stays so secretive until we present that.
Loosing a writer, indeed is a great loss, cause they can cause tears to anybody without even hurting them in person!

Thankyou for sharing your thoughtful poetry, Rashi 😊pat on your back!
You wrote a masterpiece and made all us writers proud 💕

You've written such sadness, dark and dark can be.
Your pain shows in so many ways' your emotions veer from incredulity to near loathing. How love can hurt and echo its weeping.

And how much it can work the pen. Love seems to wind the heart's mechanism when it comes to writing. In happiness it sings and dances stanzas galore but with breaks of quiet pleasure and sweet dreams.

But, when love is pitted with pain, marked by deep scars, dawn wakes desperate.. and so forth.. then, the poet can write forever., using those emotions in various measure. See how much i feel after now having read your poem three times, others will feel the same.. tis true.
