And she flewA Poem by rasmologicMetamorphosis of a life!A green leaf she could see,
crawling her way to ecstasy she could move, could look over she blinked her eye, one moment the leaf was now a bright pink she moved further all the way on the bark, soaring higher gazing at the small world, the innocence in her eyes saw and so went hours and days she fell in love, danced to joy turned behind to look in awe the leaf was now a mellow orange she began to wonder today wondered if what she saw was real she turned back and there was no leaf thought if the world was small if she was the only one that lived she woke up tomorrow, for then it was troubled as today, confused as yesterday she blinked her eye, one moment the leaf was not here anymore, the bark was not hers to soar she did not see colors, not the world she could not move to look over no rays from the sun's stares but the warmth she felt was nothing new today passed, tomorrow she's awake dark moments did not leave her alone she made a wish, hope dawned on her as the days passed she gave up she lived and loved the darkness twitched once not when she moved light there was for a hopeful soul she closed her eyes, prayed this was real trailed behind her a thread as she moved she waited for it to pass, she waited there she was, and she could see moved forward, but could not crawl for she had wings, she had color twitched once now but she flew now in the air, soaring higher she could move, could look over she blinked her eye, one moment the leaf was now green again and the tree was not her world anymore © 2015 rasmologic |
