Life is Maya

Life is like suds; as long as the soul sits in this body, it shows a colourful surreal world. Everything looks real and it gives us confidence that nothing can supplant our existence. Slowly, we start looking at ourselves as people, who are going to live forever, try to satisfy every wish of ours, accumulate as much as we can everything we can lay our hands on in excesses. Although it creates artificial scarcity and leads our fellow beings into problems, we do not mind; our selfishness blinds us all the reality. Anything in surfeit is danger to human survival. However, when we involve ourselves busily in this resource fighting thing throughout our precious living time, life aka soul simply sallies out of our body without any intimation. Only then the soul realizes the basic concept again: Life is like suds.    

All those chasings for that svelte, swarthy, juicy girl of our life, all those salacious dreams with our beloved, all those ‘permanent bonds’ we build with our friends, neighbours, relatives, etc, simply vanish into thin air. That’s why our seers say, ‘Life is Maya’.

As per our spiritual philosophies, what we see and hear in this world is not real. It is something like we are living in a dream. But during our stay on this planet, whenever someone tells us this philosophical stuff about our life, we treat them as rumourmongers and simply tell them to ‘scotch’ their stuff.         

That is how Maya commands our senses without us realizing the reality of our life!
