Meaningless

Meaningless

A Poem by Glee

Accustomed to good times

You accomplished great things

Built and had your slaves

Piled up silver and had your gold

Entertained and had your women

Staying awake worrying!

A good night’s sleep is all you need

For once you saw it, you wanted it

Once you wanted it, you had to have it

Why deny yourself pleasure

Just a little won’t hurt

But then you want more

For you’ll never have enough

So don’t chase the wind

Nothing means a thing

We must fear the same fate

For every time is set

For we come and go as we came
