So Jamie, how do you feel today?
I'm alright doctor
I want to go home now

You'll go home when you're ready
But first you must pass the test

What do you see Jamie?
I see beautiful people

What else do you see?

I see an elephant
I see a snake
The snake grows into a dragon
And swallows the elephant
The people are in panic
They're dispersing in the streets
Cars are knocking each other
Women and children are screaming

Sieze him
Grab him
Hold him
Restrain him
Ship him off to rehab

I fight but with no avail
I resist but with no success
All I did was tell what I saw

You're not alright Jamie
You're a danger to yourself
You're a danger to everyone around you
They say

Years go by
The pain
The drugs
The loneliness
Just staring at the four blank walls
Years and years of thought go by
Crazy people talking in my head
But I'm not like them
All I did was tell what I saw
Or may be I didn't see it quite clearly

Finally my chance to pass the test again

Time to tell my side of the story
Back to the doctor's appointment

What do you see now Jamie?
I see only beautiful people

What else do you see?

The snake is calm now
It doesn't grow any bigger
But it reproduces and multiplies
There are lots of them now
Creeping all over the place
The people are screaming
The traffic is hooting
Everyone is dispersing

Sieze him
Grab him
Hold him
Restrain him
Ship him off to rehab

There are no elephants or snakes or dragons
The people are gentle and well mannered
They're dressed decently and calm
I see flowers and candle lights
I listen to soothing music
The traffic is flowing smoothly
The people are all driving carefully
I see only beautiful things now

Release him
Free him
Hes steady for society
Hes ready for compliancy
Hes completely cured

You can go home now Jamie
You're alright now

Free at last
I stroll on the sidewalk
Home at last
I'm singing to myself

Once upon a time
I saw crazy people
Then I saw an elephant
Threatening to stomp them down
Then I saw a snake
And the snake grew into a dragon
And swallowed up the elephant
And frightened the people into a panic
The crowds were dispersing everywhere
The traffic was a mess
Cars crushing
People screaming
Total chaos

But now I never speak of it
For now I've learned my lesson

You can See evil
You can hear evil
But speak of it and you're shipped off to rehab
