Trapped In Stone

Trapped In Stone

A Poem by Mirko Galušić
"

This one is a little bit generic, but I gave it some touch that you may see, but I doubt it. It tells about a hero going on a quest to kill a dragon but failing... It's generic i know :D

"
Trapped in stone

The legends speak of mighty hero,
Who seeked the Dragons throne,
He went on an epic journey,
To achieve his goal.

He crossed the misty mountains,
And neverending planes,
Through many forests he did pass,
Adventure's in his veins.

His sword is made of silver,
His armor's made of gold.
He did not fear the desert heat,
He did not fear the cold.

Witches were afraid of him,
All werewolves did was run,
The ghosts he didn't fear,
He spoke with them for fun.

But one day his luck has changed, When he came across the dragons keep.
As he entered endless dungeons,
He sensed that something wicked creeped.

The dragon came with fearsome roar,
Spiting flaming balls of fire.
The hero drew his battle sword,
Killing him was his desire.

When cold silver crashed with fire,
They looked each other in the eyes.
The dragon used that tiny moment, And sent the man in quick demise.

Years ago was when he fell,
All what's left are useless bones,
His deeds will never be forgotten,
His soul's forever trapped in stone.

So few like to dwell on tragedy, which is what makes it great.
