You're Never Ready

You're Never Ready

A Poem by Beaner166

The nights grow long.
The day become agony.
Sleep is a terror.
Conscious thought is torture.

Lady Addiction has taken me.
She holds me sweetly in her gentle embrace.
Consuming my every thought with only her.
Guiding my thoughts to finding my fix.

The loving kiss of satisfaction is all I crave.
The scratching of the itch I can't reach.
The release of giving in.
Finding victory in loosing myself.

Seduced by her alluring escape.
Just one more time.
One more after that.
I'll give her up when I'm ready.

But then,

You're Never Ready.
