In poetry and to find answers of who we are while walking the ephemeral road upon cracks of pain signs leading you.
The first mistake
A band of soldiers finds diplomacy in the dreg forest comes with consequences.
So I am

So I am

A Poem by recantichize
"

something Charles Baudelaire once told me.

"
Be drunk,
said he, across years, across death.
Be drunk,
said he, I care not upon what.
Be drunk,
said he, upon wine, word, or love,
upon beauty or art,
upon God or the stars,
upon gambling or sport,
just Be drunk.

don't listen to baudelaire, he was drunk.

as to the poem, i really like the rhythm and flow of it. it drives from one line to the next with an enthusiastic fervor. the message isn't a bad one, if it is used wisely. but wisdom is something that often eludes the intoxicated.

To be so engrossed in what you love is surely a way to the inebriation of the soul.

I enjoyed this very much; it is wise, sweet, and wonderfully crafted - one is left to ponder the thought afterwards.

I stay punch drunk...
ready to ramble at every juncture
my preamble
to the inevitable

the reality of this is found in experience
the casual reader may not catch the truth
but only in release do humans enlightenment!

It's not so much of a poem as it is a philosophical free verse. Still, it was very enjoyable to read. I read it out loud in an deep narrator voice. :)
