Surrender

Surrender

A Poem by redhors

Crank open my mouth

Drop in your white pill-

I’ve given up.

So many expectations

From myself

Friends

Lovers

And family.

No one told me

What happens to you

When every time you fight,

You lose.

You don’t just lose the battle

Or the fire that feeds your soul

Or the millions of years

You’ve spent crying for blood;

You lose yourself.

You're still writing! Deep down there must still be the stream of hope. We have all fought battles, some more serious than others, but still the struggle continues. Remember for all the ails that Pandora unleashed upon the world when they looked back to her box there was still HOPE.
