'Pebbles'

'Pebbles'

A Poem by Ramiz Ilham Khan
"

Some moments are magical

"
Act 1
Room

Mute glasses & a glass bowl sniffed the fresh air,
lamp hiding behind the curtain treasured cushy drops.
Tired books reclined to receive nature's grace,
& colors on the bed sheet smiled at one another.

Outer layer of the Square glasses on the Wooden door,
teased the inner layer for its delightful moments.
Wall brackets & the chair, silently chuckled,
on the rascality of the otherwise sad outer layer.

Then in one magical moment the room laughed in chorus.

Act 2
Painting

Jilted by her camera, she revolted with jolty strokes,
Rough surface spoke volumes of this war within.
Multicolor tears gave away the yellow & browns,
& a breathing flower was born with white petals.

Her telephoto & wide-angle laughed at this unusual
image, of an unfamiliar world she wanted to live in.
The tripod calculatively deciphered the flower,
& found it mathematically superior than the photograph.

After 3 drinks she forgave her camera though . . . . .

. three drinks is all it took ? ... i know someone who wouldn't forgive their camera after three hundred and thirty three ... or maybe it's always a matter of the right camera angle ... either way ... this is a brilliant piece of poetry ... plus ... i always agree with em ...

Bizarre and beautiful at the same time. Really enjoyed the description of the room and how you give life to the inanimate.

In your second stanza, the weird capatilization thing was going on, but that didn't distract me from how good it was. Word choice, word choice, word choice. You have such a sophisticated and magical way with words. It's odd, really, but it's also incredibly....it makes me jealous. Nice job.

- and yet again - everything's alive - everything's buzzing - everything's speaking volumes - and the laughter is ringing in the night's air - not only do you capture the magic of magical moments - you bring it to life - make it spin and turn - make it dance and swirl - make it beat - in the pulse - of the rarity of this moment - and the potency - of those three drinks!!!!
