Just Another Day

Just Another Day

A Poem by Ella

As the sun rises,

And brightens the day,

The churned-up fields-

Mixed with blood and sweat,

How hard we fought,

And now we’ve lost everything,

But nothing will break us.

Now we can only watch

The bodies being dragged away,

People crying for their loved ones,

Who lay still in the sleeping green,

Fully clothed " not a single drop of blood,

How tragic; it’s just another day.

Nothing will break us,

Not now anyway.

I like the feel of this poem. Revolution and desire for change allow the spirit of life to fight without fear of lost or defeat. A very strong ending to a outstanding poem.
