Asphyxiation Part 1

Asphyxiation Part 1

A Poem by Regina K. Pride
"

It's a metaphor! I wanted to take the definition and warp it so that it didn't mean what it was supposed to mean; it meant something else completely.

"

Asphyxiation Part 1
by Regina K. Pride

bound tight
hands around neck
surrender all defenses
give up prideful control,
the driving stick
lose yourself in the silence
rope against skin
like flame to fire
smoldering, engulfing the world
which no longer exists
in a love like this
all breath cut off
and sometimes it feels strange
have all the world
to give it up to him
inhale
one last time before
choked by oxygen itself
welcoming pain from rope burn
it hurts so good
to risk it all for one
it's no longer weakness,
but strength,

this is good for you
