Disasterpiece

Disasterpiece

A Poem by Drew Renaldo

A storm is on the horizon;
a sunset made of bomb blasts.
Advent children homeless and living on the streets.
Veterans running, screaming in pain;
their minds warped by the sights of
the destruction they have caused.
The next generation of "Super Soldier"
is being raised by yesterday’s.
The purpose of war is not to die for your beliefs;
it is simply to make them die for their’s.
Because they worship a different invisible man than us.

Atomic bomb blast lights up the sky.
The ash gets in our eyes,
and blinds us from the truth;
the truth they try to hide from us.
The truth is economic.
My god is greater than your god.
Mustard gas and suicide bomb our children.
Turn New York into Hiroshima.
