A Poem by revalatia

We invite you to participate
in a clinical trial
of 3 monitored doses of faultless denial

An experimental treatment
to enhance what is real
is being developed
to control what you feel

Side effects vary
and are generally mild
symptoms include: itching, and screaming
and putrid green bile.

If you would like us to help
and prescribe you a smile,
Just surrender yourself
while we tinker awhile.

Perfection...and I don't normally say that to anyone! This one was a flowing masterpiece with a message. Nothing else to say, except...MORE!

Congratulations on your contest win! I especially like the last stanza.

I've written a poem on the same subject matter. Perhaps you'd like to read it?

This is so true. Patients need to challenge the medical profession from time to time and make their own decisions. Good work, Amanda.

Yes!! Very well-written; pure truth behind it.

Yes, this poem reminds me of those commercials you see where the drug company tells you the good the medicine will do. Then you catch the potentially terrible side affects right at the end. Great social commentary with this one!
