One Day

One Day

A Poem by Nick Reynolds
"

Lyrics written about a story a girl told me in class one day.

"

Verse 1:

Who are you

Standin’ in your yellow shoes

What do you think

When you see me and your cheeks turn pink

How can I say

When I see you how you make my day

What should I do

To prove that I’ll be there for you

Chorus:

One day

You will hear of the secrets I have held

One day

You will know just how I feel about you

One day

You will see what you mean to me

One day

But that day is not here

Verse 2:

When did you start

To rend my ventricles apart

Why must you say

That you do not like me in that way

Who should know

About me feeling oh so low

Where were you

When I told you how much I liked you

Chorus

Verse 3:

What can be done

To show you that I am fun

Oh, how I’ve changed

All the things you said you hated

How do you

Think of me, do you want me too

Why would you

Hide the fact that you like me too.

Chorus
