Love Sonnet 227

Love Sonnet 227

A Poem by Reyvrex Questor Reyes

I searched the darkness in my side of night,
So marking stars strewn in the Milky Way,
Now made familiar by my searchful sight,
That no more in the cosmos could I stray;

Or will a better chance come with the sun,
When blazing hot activities progress,
My hope goes high, this sadness will be gone,
As this endeavour turns to sweet success;

And yet love foiled attempts to ever find
Itself, or courage that once dreams denied,
What good can light be to a love when blind,
And only to deaf silence did confide?
. . . . For to a blind the darkness gives no woes,
. . . . For one with sight, it's hardly where he goes.
