The Child's Armor

The Child's Armor

A Poem by R. G. Nestle
"

This is a poem about the lack of protection children can have against sexual predators. It is one of the poems from my art/poetry book, "Eyes of Forgotten Innocence." Buying this book gets a portion of the royalties donated to protect kids.

"

Cover thee now with armor frail,

A sword of twine, valiantly flail.

A sword of twine and shield of lace,

Defend thee from the devil's grace.

I had no idea the devil had grace...great concept and yet it seems that the words are almost the reverse of what they should be or what would expect to see...covered in twine that that flails...the armor is frail - interesting rhyme scheme but almost really creepy to me...thanks for sharing.
Light,
Siddartha
