I can relate to this one, although I'm an oddball, and I write with a pencil. But I get this one because sometimes when I'm going well with one pencil, I keep using that one and don't let anyone else use that implement. Sort of like a baseball player who gets into a groove with a lucky bat/ Well done with bringing this tendency to life in this short story form.
