Landscapes of The Metaphysical

Landscapes of The Metaphysical

A Poem by Richard Lane

{for cindi silva}

live transmission

radio play that song

again dj

come on

and take another

piece of my heart because

i know and you know i believe in

a land called love

because the world might still

be a beautiful

place if we humans didn't keep

mucking s**t up by starting

new wars

and i don't mind

the sound of chaos

in the form of protests

against more wars

if it means bringing about

a more peaceful

world than our ancestors

have left us with

in the middle of the search

for safety in place

of logic and common sense

when it comes to claiming

which society is

better than any other when the only planetary home

we have in the

universe that we have as far as we know

and i am not wrong

because the Earth is a beautiful place to be living on

and I would like to see her live a

little bit longer

and to the chagrin of those who will talk otherwise the Earth is a living

and Breathing world or else we HUMANS

would NOT BE HERE! Like what I say or don't but She is our Mother!

Author's Note

Richard Lane
for those in the writers cafe' who may not have heard or read
Cindi Silva who was a member of this site and a very dear friend of mine died on Saturday evening due to complications of Cancer. I wrote this poem a year ago
but I began revising and expanding the poem and this is the final draft with my friend Cindi Silva in mind. She is a beautiful soul and I will miss her dearly.

I actually think that this is the best poem which I have rad by you, dear Richard. You write with poise, assertiveness and persuasive prowess. This is a really provocative, gutsy, thought provoker. A great piece of writing, excellent, gritty and of course sad, raw with emotions. I have no doubt that Cindi Silva would be really proud of you for writing this, I am sorry that I never became familiar with your writings. Kind wishes Richard.
