Move Me Lord

Bombs and dying, buildings on fire

Mothers and babies   widows and orphans

Move me Lord

Empty sky   dry land

No grain  No bread

Move me Lord

Cold rain and locked doors

No blankets  No bed

Move me Lord

Brothers dead in the road

Anger Fear Bullets and Grief

Move me Lord

Sisters sold in the street

Greed and Shame  Money and Lust

Move me Lord

richieb,
"Move me Lord" You shared. Every word was a pathway moving through the reality of what is moving to you. So much pain in this world threaded with every vice and destructive element.
Jesus said; "If you do it unto the least of these my brethren you've done it unto me."
We are called to love and lift the hurting.
Blessings, to you. Matt. 25: 40 "The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
Blessings to you.Kathy.

A sad and powerful use of thoughts. I saw places where food and some kind of shelter is enough. Your words solid and you made the reader think. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry. Poetry and words support to make the reader think. You did.

Thank you Farhan.
"Move me lord" a moving line which touches the soul.

I feel these things you mentioned are so common around the world and horrific too, to even think about that these horrendous crimes still take place in our so called modernized world, but sadly it does. And after that it becomes just a news headline..

You conveyed it nicely.

Yes indeed.
You're welcome 😊
This is a special poem. An intense subject of different types of crime touched in a simple manner. The words do have the power to penetrate into the reader's mind, thereby evoking a thought. "Move me lord", so well done by calling forth mankind to look at violence as something more than just a news bulletin. Beautiful poem.

I loved reading this poem. Thanks for the read request. I like how you talked about all the troubles of the world and afterwards said "Move me Lord." There's also a little ambiguity in your words, as this poem can be interpreted in different ways. Great job.
