My Little Star

In such a wide, deep and dark sky across us,

There are countless clouds to wonder.

One time, I saw a glistering speck.

I start to ponder.

How a small thing can outshine the universe?

I start to gaze at it.

Though I’m scared of looking farther at the gloomy scene,

My fear started to vanish.

Just looking at this made me begin to hope.

This thing made me to dream more.

But alas, it begins to lose in the night sky.

I wasn’t able to cherish it more.

Its disappearance made me realize

That there’s more than black background

Such small thing yet it taught me a lot.

Thank you, my little star.

For you opened my blind eyes

That now starts to see the bright road ahead.

This is the first time I posted once again here in my account. *sigh* I'm very busy with my college life. But luckily, I had some inspiration when I wrote this.
First time also that I used thesaurus for this poem. :))
I know that it isn't a good poem but of course, I want to know some of your comments and suggestions. :)
