RISING LIKE TWO MOUNTAINS IN THE SKY

RISING LIKE TWO MOUNTAINS IN THE SKY

A Poem by Sir Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

taking shelter on

the highest mountain

climbing up a treetop

onto those long down lines

i see myself defining it

a silver cloud

let me walk

where eagles dare

where the moon

and the stars

are up feeling vibrant

i have no feather

i will meet you

there higher

gravitated t'ward space

let me walk once

where the shadows

of the eagles dare, i can fly

when i become

the red wing

the white wing

the blue wing

anything, let me see

within outside

cutting corners

of the tables

of what i know is

after feeling dejected

in, in, in, to a sad

rachet unstrung for no use

i can see it

it's looking terrific

where's that at

in, in, in, to a letter worn

joy outta sorrow

a red rose grew wilder

they aren't the same

can you feel that

it's becoming unbroken

uncompromising

by the very line fell

please! it's a good day

between a clearer blue

to move on

i'm going, i'm done

picking sides, all sides

right or left

where do we belong

while love grows strong

like something out

of a garbage pail

the sunlight

is shining in

still thinking

of what, i want

to do now is this fault

to tear the fair

mountain apart

through the action

of reflecting

it wasn't all empty

later on, won't be easy

mine's in the sky

shines looking

at the shadows

i shall fly

and be that way

i shall swim

and be right now

i shall find

a windy hill

and the sky

will open there

and do me a favor

let me walk once

what, i've done

let it grow

abundance, breaking shells

flowery and free

in, in, in

a garbage pail daily

by the head

by the message

keep on the upbeat

by the feet seeking

instead of kicking

and screaming

and yelling

within the echos

then who knows

and who cares

in forming

together it will

and slowly fills

the yellow sky

that'll make me fly

from the ascent

till the end

there is a poem

and is this thing

unevenly thinking

encourging

running and jumping

into the new water

on, on, on, the swing

the sunlight

is shining in this

in, in, in anything

dreaming wild

smash the dish

at full sail, for now

i can see it

rustles louder

into the breeze

like two tall trees

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

alright i know

what you mean now

it will come true

brightly t'ward space

all the exposure

in, in, in, between

the situation

is changing

bringing in the birds

on, on, on

a wall, on, on, on

a windy hill

of far away

the wooden beams

slowly warms

once, there, where

was, more

like two tall trees

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

and, it is, in, in, in,

my strength

and courage

will take me there

i have no feather

i will meet you

there higher

gravitated t'ward space

you will notice

i been seeking

in value

in virtue

in sweetness

in salvation

and, in, in, in,

you as well

i will meet you, too

there higher

gravitated t'ward space

you will notice

saying, i should go

in its dark mist

in its blue smoke

it's disappearing

i don't understand it

in a way that's

dense, unseen

rising upon

here, there

everywhere

elsewhere will flow

to dally, to dally in the air

embracing thoughts

puts back on the light

i'm lost in the starlight

if, all day long

i use to be darker nights

laying down deeper

all deluded

in the new spaces

the light sparkles

in, in, in,

the glasses below

to reach behind

slowly fell

in, in, in,

the yellow sky

till the end

there is a poem

to grieve with-in

between is light

i can remember

do you remember

it's hard to tell

like two tall trees

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

all over the world

stop, let me breathe

it all in, in, in, in,

if there is a sound

i hear a sound

i hear you

pausing, on, on, on,

the crystal staircase

if there is a need

i have no feather

if i had wings

and there will be

and it is, in, in, in,

my strength

and courage

will take me there

i will meet you

there higher

gravitated t'ward space

you will notice

i should go

finding freedom

and wisdom

once, there, where

was, nothing more

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

like two tall trees

bringing in the birds

amongst the papers

on thin snow

reaching over

take care

i'll take care

embracing upon

a windy hill

and the sky between

staying brave

finding peace

in the love i found

growing out

of a garbage pail daily

from the start

the sunlight

is shining in

heavenly presence

in this feeling vibrant

with amazement

in my eyes

all is once upon again

alive and forever

in this way begun

a time to feel

in how to care, ahh!

if so, i will go

realising, bringing up

on, on, on, a fish

i'm getting it together

i wish i could

into the new waters

if i had wings

i've been seeking value

looking how far away

on, on, on, a stick

in, in, in, a book

while on the long

cool walk home

on the long drive up

we belong

if incomprehensive

on, on, on,

it gives me wings

if i had wings

the blue wing

the red wing

anything, let me see

within outside

cutting corners

of the tables

of what i know is

by the here, there

let me walk once

and henceforward

i realised

are you all right

you look'd friendly

in, in, in, between

both of us

i think so

all the branches seen

i only want

to be freed

to walk through

to reach behind

slowly befell

the yellow sky

till the end

there is a poem

to grieve with-in

by the senses

by the thing

that pieces us together

by my standing on

i can see beyond

the clouds beneath

in, in, in, a shelter

the wooden beams

slowly warms rooms

near the edge

facing the dark waters

on, on, on,

onto a mountain

in the sky, morning

it's up to me now

i can see beyond

the clouds below

remaining still

we aren't the same

as invisible

as the one line poem

straight and longer

overflowing

and it will in time

to time perhaps the tides

slowly allows

slipping and

sliding, escaping

and hiding

in later life

i'm exploring them

amongst gripping

the slopes

in footsteps

all the hill-tops

all the tree-tops

as one line

straight and longer

all the table-tops

overflowing

creatively

strangely, i could wait

i could dare

once, there, where

was, more

there-of things upon the Spring

bringing in the birds

unrecognizable

at the first beat

at the first sense

stops, lets me breathe

it all, in, in, in,

in the shade, fading after

into the white

spaces shining

i could wait

i could to be

returning again

above ground

hand in hand

solid, and, perfect into our arms

hugging everything

rolling, overflowing

to grieve with-in

there is my best poem

on, on, on, onto things

overwelming

in this place

i found, i laid

down deeper

seen two feet deeper

are scattered about

i have no feather

waving in the air

lo, and, behold

at the foot

of the mountains cold

out, in, in, in,

somewhere

facing the dark waters

oh, hello, golden flowers show

in a circle wide

at my feet

below i'm reaching

coloring my feelings

i hold you nice

heading up

slowly befell

the yellow sky

i smell you sweetly

i tell you sweetly

in the shades of green increasing

so fresh and unfolding

into my hand

below, in, in, in,

the shadows

of the lonely things

so beautiful

feelings dejected

in, in, in, a sad

low arch made my last call

where's a sweeter

red rose grows wilder

they aren't the same

can you feel that

it's becoming unbroken

uncompromising

by the very line

please!  My

feathered friends tried

may all your days

be sunny

i'm moving on

i'm going, i'm done

picking sides, all sides

of the problem pain

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

once, there, where

was, more

i found this outta

a garbage pile daily

from the start

the sunlight

is shining in

while you are looking

on, on, on

a feather that falls out

down from on high

behind both sides

like two shadows

like two tall trees

spreading afar across

in my arms in flight

it will pass upon

i heard a sound

they aren't the same

hurrying me onward

waving in the air around

divinely created

like two tall trees

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

a kind word

a kind different

reassuring me

and i went on looking

taking me up

like two tall trees

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

once, there, where

was, more

while i'm slipping

and sliding

escaping and,

and hiding

coming across

on, on, on

a long wire down

the lion was busy

i've just been

suspended, strangely

and creatively

where's the point

i don't understand it

alive and forever

something remains

deeper thru, in, in, in,

the wooden beams

slowly warms rooms

near the edge

facing the dark waters

here, there

everywhere will flow

to dally, to dally in the air

embracing thoughts

puts back on the light

i'm lost in the starlight

if, all day long

laying down deeper

a clearer blue

in, in, in,

the valley below

slowly befell

the yellow sky

our purpose was once

making waves

over the new waters

in, in, in

into the wind so long

for everyone

the best i can do

oh, lyrical flow so gone

let me in

what isn't broken yet

i'm glad i've been there

waiting the angels

waiting the lullabye

around me

if i had wings

to lay down deeper always

in, in, in,

by the very stream

like two mountains

in the sky

once, there, where

was, more

on, on, on, arriving for

struggling through and through

far across the pond

a clearer blue

the blue wing

the red wing

anything, let me see

within outside

the beauty, our time

dirty poets

awaiting the angels

awaiting the lullabye

around me

of what i know

like two shadows

spreading far away across

up in flight

it will pass overwelming

in with temptation

the burden

like two tall trees

rising like

two mountains

in the sky

in some place

climbing up a treetop

let me walk

where the shadows

of the eagles dare, i can fly

when i become

the red wing

the white wing

the blue wing

anything, let me see

within outside

cutting corners

of what i know is

after feelings dejected

in, in, in, a sad

low arch made my last call

here inside a sweater

joy outta sorrow

a red roses grows wilder

they aren't the same

can i feel how real

it's becoming unbroken

uncompromising

by the very line

please! it's a good day

to a clearer blue

to move on

i'm going, i'm done

picking sides, all sides

right or wrong

we belong

while on the long

cool walk home

i been seeking

in value

in virtue

in sweetness

in with salvation

and in, in, in,

you as well

i will meet you

there higher

gravitated t'ward space

you will notice

i should go

once, there, where

was, nothing more

rising like

two mountains

in the sky
