Ooh! Ooh! I'm Drowning Out

Ooh! Ooh! I'm Drowning Out

A Poem by Sir Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

Although, not that expressive

Definitely not by me

Shall we say

So to speak

Clearer tomorrow darker

Well maybe so

Do remember

Do remain

Behind those eyes

In between was us as two wings

Upon this night of fears

How the mask uncovers

Of years ago

That had been worn true

Not by me in none

My own thinking

The awakening was finding

I see you out there

Has left in me in a hole

Looking upwards

With no remarks

To put lost leaves

I took a trip across the road

And broke the ice

Turning in the Spring

I didn't notice the water

And the memory

Stirring and spilling over

Who really does, just

Now, now, now

And, new, wow

Onto those striving all blue

Not done yet gone

Suddenly blue skies

In my shoes

To bloom forth from

The longing to do something

With a new hinge

Upon the door

Upon the attitude

What's going on

Deep inside

Being a part of this

From in it

From in it with feathers

To be reconsidered

The difference

In a glimmering night

Where did it go

What did it say

I shuttered so wondering

Ooh! Ooh!

I'm drowning out

Like a pen

Like a leaf

Like a page

Has left in me from there

To go forth

So sparkling and so murky

Somebody's shining

In the snow and the view

On the window

I may get lost

Upon the chance

Just let it fall

To find out

To flow out

Following the same sounds

Just let me speak

Upon the great ray of hope

On a circling drain

From far away

Calling again

Into the silent wind

Underneath sheets at full sail

Warm and sunny

I was raised

On a quiet floor

Upon the breeze to unfold

On a course uncharted

Thus reascending

This Winter and throwing

Upon the stars

And seeing that through

Revise, revise, revise

And dwelling on

I'm still alive

And collecting the drifting wood

Upon the frost

Feathery and free

Swooping around

The sunrays on the rooftop

Upon dark corners

Many land there

I took a trip across the way

And broke the ice

For a lighter, better world

At the bottom

As it goes by

Surprise, surprise, surprise

In all, overall

And that it be all but for

A boat in a fog

Upon the great ray of hope

Upon the ground

Upon the thought

What is that

I don't know

When it did occured to me

I don't see

I must finish this

It might not make it

One bit better again

It should be

Not, like, those

Not, like, theirs is

It's my life

I see you out there

Everything's a blur

Unloading words

It's my story

To plant anew

Turning in the Spring

Hidden by clouds

If anyplace or further more

Let's push

What's next to hold it close

The bookcase

The drainpipe

The mirror

Turning it over

To have a look inside

Behind the veil

Belonging to you

Upon the lake before

The arguments

The fragments of times after

I try to look in or at

How will it turn out

The fear and the loathing

Meaning well

Noticing the flowers

All my hours

Growing lovely

And still to struggle

Upon a wishing well

They may in enough

Until explaination is this

And that it be all but for

A boat in a fog

Nothing at all

Just like that

One rolling along

Across once again

Like the moon

Taking, leaving the corners off

Stumbling down to the past

Upon the path

Of uncertainty

Ooh!  Ooh!

I'm drowning out

And wondering

Almost counts

In a glimmering night

Has left in me from there

Tossing around

For an objective

As it made me more

I took a walk

I'm here and I'm back

Just let me spark

Where i need not be

In the center

Upon a hill shining

Has left in me from here along

Sending up

A mountain of song

That stops then

But not before it pours

Out somewheres

I'm just about there

Upon the scattered verses

The woe it won't be-gone

I'm still learning something

I took a look at the vase

Behind the vast shelf

Almost seems

For an detail drawing

Upon a line

Not by me in none

My own mind

My soul contrives it

In broken pieces

In the early morning

Has left in me from here along

Sending up

A mountain of song

That starts then

But not before it pours

Out somewheres

I'm just about there

Finding in the picture

The same framework

Meaning well

By another nice gain

How certain

I feel the same

Of other spots we went

Troubled in a way

Different than

Of some feeling that

Won't let go

Oh it's O.K. man

It's unimportant

I'm enchanted

Upon the attitude

What's going on

Deep inside

Being a part of this

From in it

From in it with feathers

To be reconsidered

The difference

In a glimmering night

Where did it go

What did it say

I shuttered so wondering

Ooh!  Ooh!

I'm drowning out

Continously and still going ahead

Until it's gone

Never gone

Over and over

Waiting and waiting

Even when following each

Of the deepest footsteps

It's not so much

A massive problem

How I am

Thus concentrating

Holding steady on I will be

That's what I can do

All the way

Yes, and I was, also lost

Only wandering

Shall we say

So to speak

As a free spirit

I was often awashed away

Upon the great ray of hope

With and without

Seeking means

Moving on in a wide

Extended edge

At the surface

I won't ever get it

Aimlessly and still going ahead

Until it's gone

Never done

Over and over

Waiting and waiting

Against the wall

On all kinds of rocks

On which it runs blind

Upon the sand

Looking upwards

With no remarks

Underneath it

By the streams

That's not so much clear

Pouring down

Alongsides the stars

As the waves do rage on

Finding in the picture

Taking, leaving the corners off

Stumbling down to the past

Upon the path

Of uncertainty

As I caught the burst

Sitting on a cloud

In the rain

Upon the storm

Hitting the water

Hitting the paper

Bending it around

Upon the eye

Beneath the shadows

Upon the brance

What seems to disappear

Upon the hand

Of uncertainty

A lost ship

A boat in a fog

A strange cloud it was

Within reaching

Between the horizon

Before me moving

In the deep darkness

All cleared away

It is in the road

It is in the sound soaring

Flying over running fast

Now and then

And so forth

Upon the face

With and without

Seeking response

After a beer

After a match

Looking upwards

With no remarks

Underneath it

Found in the mess

To ease off some

Brings to rest

The way back again

Upon a tree

As it made me dwell

It's awesome

In shades to hide away in

From the fields

Upon the path

Of uncertainty

Shall we say

So to speak

Clearer tomorrow darker

Shall we say

So to speak

To go forth

A day at heavy seas

To keep on going

For another golden circle

In all, overall

And that it be all but for

A boat in a fog

Upon the great ray of hope

In the deep darkness

I'm free from the pain

Will, I ?

Will, I ?

To feel set

Totally free

And foot loose

Upon the fields

Taken from upon

The air everyday at times

Has left in me in a room

Where to lay

A book of poems

Through and through

It's my mind

Unloading words

Again, again, it will until

It just happens along

Ooh! Ooh!

I'm drowning out

Although, not that expressive

Definitely not by me

Shall we say

So to speak

Clearer tomorrow darker

Well maybe so

Do remember

Do remain

Behind those eyes
