AUGUST BUTTERFLIES

AUGUST BUTTERFLIES

A Poem by Marie
"

End of season...

"

Jeweled wings are ragged now

The time is almost done

Fairy angels end their lives

Dancing in the sun.

So sorry to hear that you have passed May it not be a dark night but a bright light Like yourself. May you be rocked in the arms of the Almighty to the beat of the lullaby winds. As all the souls of Heaven play a song so kind to the sound of the caroling winds. You have been a great friend to me.You have many great friends who have cried over you. May those tears fall from the heavens like notes from far flung rain to ring out the message you are loved.
Goodnight Marie.

I was wondering where you were as I also haven't been on this site in quite awhile. Your poems still touch me and even though I never met you personally your kind and great comments have never been far from my mind. You surely have a legacy here at the Writerscafe.

This poem I must testify has something significant inside. There is another better life after death. The last two lines captured this. Well articulated.

I am not on here as much lately due to many useless things, but as I had time today to read, I thought what better than pick someone I can count on. You did not disappoint. You know I love the short verse and this is excellent. Great imagery and a perfect match for your photo selection. I really enjoyed this work. I had read of your passing and still look back on your work. Even in your absence, you bring a smile to my face. RIP

Wow.

Sitting here. I'm not the type of person who writes poems about people. Seems insincere. Still... I feel like just writing in this box. I am going to.

I am me. Most of you probably don't know me, and that is fine. I know what makes me me and what defines me, what works for me and what doesn't. I had some good banter with Marie and she was complimentary. Most of the time when people compliment me it seems like BS, and people like Marie are the reason I can keep believing that other people are full of BS, because when she would say something kind, it would be meaningful. That's an extremely rare thing, to me.

Just laughing a lot at all of the stuff she said. Reading old messages. Isn't it fun that everyone gets a chance to re-live it with me? Ah ha.

Well, it's just rare to find honest people who want to converse on the same level of depth that I do (about dreams, motivations, loss, etc.) Like count on one hand in life rare. Those type of people, to me, are writers... because most people are afraid to say those things to a 'stranger' or couldn't tell a good person from just text. Anyway, that's my comment.

This poem was sad as hell to me because I got this feeling. Then I read the comments. Still miss benny tho. Benny was a meme, but a good meme.
