Truth

Truth

A Poem by What Do I Put Here?

Disgraced and shamed

We are the poisoned youth

Can you hear the lies

Or are they truth?

A world that sends you running

From your broken dreams

Left to die alone

Just my disappointments and me

I'm so tired

But I can't sleep

Standing on the edge

Of something much too deep

Lost in a sea

Just trying to be bold

Rebels in the eye

Not willing to mold

It's funny how we can feel so much

But can't utter a word

Screaming on the inside

But can't be heard

Marooned and misunderstood

We are the poisoned youth

Can you hear the lies

Or are the truth?
