talkin to the stars

everyone's gone
just me sitting here
with the shining stars above me

that one is for our first kiss
that ones for the first time we said i love you
and that one? the first time you saw me cry.

the thing is,
i wonder if your doing what im doing.
i want to know if your looking at the same star as i am

i just want it to be over
i want to stop missing you
but im running out of ways to not

so ill sit here,
as much as it kills me,
talkin to the stars

This is a very sincere piece - though I usually don't care for poems about love, I can relate to this one. It reminds me of that restlessness when you miss somebody - whether they're from a relationship or something else - and reflecting on that very feeling.

I like reading your poetry. So far, each poem feels like a progression. It's interesting to see which way your writing turns every time you come up with a new piece. Keep it up.

Very sweet, very honest little write. It's charming in it's directness, and lack of complication. A neat capturing of a thought and quite appealing in the naivete and romance with which it is presented. The second verse is really the heart of the poem and is very good. Mind your use of apostrophes, there are quite a few missing here which is distracting. Nice write though :-)

I would consider this poem to be quite relatable. The image of the stars is commonly used in poems, but it also creates the message clearly. I see a young girl sitting at her windowsill in an evening reverie about her first love; first everything. I feel as perhaps that there is either a distance between you yet the spiritual bond is powerful as well.
