lies in my head

lies in my head

A Poem by Mikayla Rasmussen

Just thinking we could have had another chance,
was a bogus failure in my thoughts.

You have moved on in this life,
a lesson i was never taught.

And now I am left here in my sorrow,
unable to look away or close my eyes.

I see you so happy with someone who isn't me,
I just wish you never told me those lies.

You gave up so suddenly,
that cold October day.

And now my heart will stay frozen,
even in the heat of May.

Feeling that way now, so this has a miserable company warmth to help me thaw. thank you,
Mikayla Rasmussen with the clear voice and the words of choice that ring true...

Deep, sad yet full of emotions one can feel and sense your pain pouring from every word you wrote, maybe it's your story or maybe just a poetry. That's the magic you created with your writing.. and left your reader feeling your pain.. good write..

thank you :)
This is sad, a heartbreaking tale.
Full of emotion, depth and meaning.
It would suck being left for no reason, just being dumped just like that.
I could feel the strong emotion throughout the whole poem.
Great write :)
