Where did you go?

Where did you go?

A Poem by The Seeker of Thoughts
"

A poem to someone I miss.

"
Where did you go?
We used to talk everyday.
You used to come watch sports I played.
Whatever happened to our good old days?
You never text or call anymore.
You left out of nowhere.
Is it something I can change?
Your name has been shunned, nobody says it.
Please just call me, i'm not mad.
Answer me please?
Where are you dad?

I never really talk about my father, but it has been bothering me lately. Please be as critical as you feel needed. All opinions are welcome and wanted.

Life without father. I had a AWOl father and I learn later why. Push away because of his race and the wars he had fought in. He and I became great friend till his death. Sometimes we must offer love and friendship. I liked the poem. Hard for young people to understand why parent become cold and distance. Thank you for sharing your words and your thoughts. You left something for the reader to think about.

This is such a touching poem. I pray you find the peace you so richly deserve. Dads are precious and their presence will always be missed. Great poem!

You are most welcome...
Any man can be a father. Real Dad's are rare though.

This is true. Thank you for the kind words.
You tell this sad tale in a poem with the truth revealed to the reader at the end, thus allowing the construct of any interpretation according to each individuals thinking. You strike a poignant note and the poem flows well. Only thing I am not certain about is the phrase 'You left out of nowhere' which I feel could be couched better?

Aww... I almost thought it was a lover. C'mon. These is strong emotions. Well done. I does sound as though you miss him. or perhaps, he is taboo named. "Your name has been shunned, nobody says it..." Yet, you miss him. it is sad but lovely

I do miss him in all truthfulness. Thank you for reading. Perhaps I will show it to him someday.
My friend,we all host a subject in our lives that we rarely speak of. Often times it's not the subject itself that's hurts so but, the energy it takes to resolve it. Some have more subjects than others to resolve. I'm sorry this response is so long, I feel the need to comfort you. It's ok to pour yourself out. Pouring out the hurt will allow fresh joys to be poured in.

For me is always hard to be critical cause my poems are not perfect. I like this idea idea also form of poem looks like some short note from diary. So it's make more realistic . There is deep worry and wondering about person. I like it lot. Sorry I was not critical.
