A Poem by Rogerh

Souvenirs of times past are always a treasure.

I walk among the flowers blooming in the field

Roses, sunflowers, lilacs and daffodils

Tall ones, short ones, some seldom seen

All smell of life that makes me feel serene

As I walk by I pick a petal from each one

To take home with me when I am done

Late at night I hold them close to my heart

So of me they will always be a part

Though they always die and wilt away

I will always have the memory of the day

I walked among the flowers blooming in the field

Of the roses, sunflowers, lilacs and daffodils
