The Streets Of Midnight

The nights can be so lonely

The Streets Of Midnight

I walk alone the streets of midnight
The shadows they know me by name
I can hear their lonely voices
They echo up and down each empty lane
The cold silence grabs me tightly
It sends shivers through my broken heart
The Moon and stars are in hiding from me
The emptiness of love has ripped me apart
I hope to see a better way out for me
I try to wait until the first morning light
Everywhere I look I see fear and danger
Cannot find love, I am blinded by the night
The streets they are empty like my heart
There is no one to hold me or me to hold
When there is no one to love you or you to love
The streets of midnight can be so cold
