RUNAWAY STAR

RUNAWAY STAR

A Poem by Chandler bing
"

NONE WHATSOEVER.

"
                                                         RUNAWAY STAR
In the winter murk,
Along the turf,
standing alone,
Unheard and unharmed,
looking at the starry sky,
with infinite possibilities,
I see a shooting star,
Burning with ardor,
Desolate and driven,
That astronomical marvel,
With it's majestic tail,
Made a sudden trail,
So near yet so far,
Moments later,
It was gone,
Unheard and unharmed.

I really like the parallels between you and the star and how when it comes down to it we're here and gone in a flash; or in your case, there and gone in a flash. I didn't see any of the recent reviews touch on the fact that you used the same line to describe your coming there to the star appearing so I just thought I'd note that and give ya some credit ^.^

Nice poem, it has a nice flow. Just a couple days ago I saw a shooting star straight down out of the sky and straight out in front of me over the road on my way to work. I smiled and thought a friend saying high.
Once at night we were driving home from Las Vegas several years ago and a huge one, that lit up the night sky like it was daylight, they believe it struck the earth about 60 miles from where we were. It was crazy, it was caught on surveillance cameras, just as bright as day for a couple seconds, the sky even looked blue. And in an instance it was gone.

This is pretty good. And, also, highly effective.
Thanks.

I absolutely loved the strong use of literary devices and strong, beautiful words in this poem! Great job, keep up the good work!

This is nice. Well, it's funny how we see something like that, and it is just gone in a flash, almost as though we never saw it and we have trouble convincing people it was there.

(&Hopefully it was not a bomb.)

Yeah exactly ...hahaha no. It wasn't a bomb(or was it?)
Incredible imagery...it has a celestial feel to it. Nicely done.
