“You say you Love me”

 

You say you love me and do not want to change me.

You say I am the love of your life.

No one else ever has made you feel complete.

 

Then why do you change me, and want to control me?

Am I your dream toy to play at your feet?

 

I want to leave but you keep me caged.

The bars made of your vindictiveness and threats that I hate.

 

By keeping, me caged and made your private pet you turn me into something I hate and will always regret.

 

Hold me and cage me I will wither away.

Please let me go so I might want to stay for a while.

 

I make no promises I have broken so many.

Allow me to make my own destiny and keep at least one promise.

 

Without your tears and threats to my heart.

I might want to stay and never part.

One time I asked you please let me leave.

You answered with tears and threats that made me fall like a leaf.

 

Now I stay regretting each moment.

Locked away into myself and not caring for passion.
