i've killed an angel(edwards thoughts)

this was inspired from twilight: new moon. this is edward's thoughts after hearing that bella jumped off the cliff.

i've killed an angel

i have god, i swear

she gave her heart to me alone

and i threw it all away

i ripped it to shreds with a smile on my face

thought it was right, that she didn't need it

that she could live without her heartbeat

like i had for so many years

god, what have i done?

she's cold and still

she can't see my grief

god, are you there?

can you hear me?

do you care?

i've killed her, god

its my fault she took her life

the cliff she jumped from

i can see it

and it kills me

god, please

kill me, please

let me join her

iknow i've done wrong

but let me be romeo

and i'll never kill juliet again

This almost made me cry.. it was beautiful i loved the way you incorporated his grief and romeo and Juliet.. great job

Having read the Twilight series, I am able to read this poem with understanding, and relate it back to the book. I think that you conveyed Edward's emotions really well, making this a very powerful and moving read. I thought that the incorporation of 'Romeo + Juliet' at the end was a really good idea, and helped to set the tone of this piece.

I like the way you added in the romeo and juliet side. One of my fave conversations in the book would have had to been when edward and bella were watching Romeo and Juliet and Edward had made it clear that he would do the same because he could not have "lived" without her(I remeber her saying "how waould you feel if you were the one to die and i died to be with you" or somewhere along those lines). You portrayed it well.
