the perfect doll

the perfect doll

A Poem by rosalie

a short poem about how society portrays a girl

The perfect doll

Don't make a fuss

Sit up straight

Make up on

Be the perfect girl

Perfect picture

Perfect poise

Perfect manners

Mistakes made

Consequences given

Society portrays perfection

Don't make noise

Stay quiet

Stay invisible

No voice

No brain

Another plastic doll

Be the perfect girl

Perfect poise

Perfect manners

Fixed pleated skirt

Manicured fingers

Tightened waist

Small breaths

Perfect girl

Perfect poise

Perfect manners

The perfect doll

Your work reminds me of Alanis Moresette Jagged Little pill song ' Perfect' Worse than what society tries to say we should be are what we impose on ourselves! You say it well

I don't see any grammar or spelling errors. I see a closed world for someone young who needs to break free to come alive for someone to learn females today have no boundaries.

Ive always loved writing but I've never had the confidence to share my work, until one day a friend told me to be an island in a world of continents. they told me to be myself and not worry about what.. more..
