arms locked, hearts tight

You talk to me late into the night

When I’m worrying about a flight

Rambling about a fight

And even when everything is bright

What you say is always right

 

You lock our arms going down the street

Never seeming to miss a beat

Introducing me to everyone you meet

Without you my heart just seems incomplete

Or friendship could never be decrepit

 

Sometimes we ramble of things so silly

But it’s fun when winter’s so chilly

All the way to summer’s pretty lily

But everything’s so important to me really

 

You truly taught me how to write

Always making sure I’m polite

And firmly looking tword the bright

While telling everyone of God’s great light

We could never be less than tight

 

I know sometimes you never think I knew

How over protective I am to you

Us two have grown it’s clearly true

But leave my habit I can never do

Because so strongly do I love you
