Arguement

Arguement

A Chapter by Rose of Gondor

“I can’t follow you!” Mia shouted at him.

“You have to trust me,” He said, his dark eyes downcast as he worked at the door.

“How could I after you lied to me about working for him?”

“I had no choice!”

“You could’ve told me!”

“It doesn’t matter! Look, if you don’t leave now, they’re going to kill you.”

“Then so be it! How do I know you aren’t trying to kill me yourself?”

He looked shocked. Shocked and hurt. He lowered his head into his hands and said nothing for a full five minutes, his face buried in his arms. She knew she had gone too far.

“Theodore…I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that. You wouldn’t hurt me. I…I’m sorry.” She laid a hand on his shoulder, her apology sincere. She knew her words weren't true. Even though she was mad, extremely mad that he had lied to her, she hadn’t believed for one moment that he was trying to hurt her.

Rose of Gondor
Just a little something I came up with with a dialogue exercise. It was interesting... I admit that this can go a lot of ways!!!
