Immovable

When the night grows darker

The sea grows deeper

And everything seems to come apart

I stand still and silent, immovable

 

Made of stone instead of flesh and blood

I was born with a purpose, an iron will

Never to fall in love

Never to feel the pain of loss

 

I seem to have forgotten

Whether I’m happy

But it doesn’t really matter

All that does is that the world survives

 

I’m a warrior, the protector of this planet

I never let go and I never break down

I stay focused on my mission

And don’t give up till the very last breath

 

I may seem human to you

Maybe you think I have feelings too

But trust me I won’t blink an eye

On the battlefield

 

Don’t try to move me

I know what you’re doing

You’re trying to touch

Some inner part of my heart

 

But I’m telling you

It won’t work

It’s never worked before and

I don’t think I have a heart

 

I seem to have forgotten

Whether I’m sad

But it doesn’t really matter

There’s only one purpose for me

I don't know where I came up with this....it just popped out of my head...too much science fiction, I'm guessing.
