    I am dedicating this book to the one person in my life who has awakened my heart and freed my soul. I had once bound my heart and soul with the chains of despair and buried them with the misery I had come to know. I built walls of wariness, distrust, and fear to keep emotions from me so that my heart could never be touched by love or hate again. you brought to life my deepest feelings, you gave me a reason to exist-to continue to be in a world that had left me behind. You taught me to love again.
