She Changed Me

She Changed Me

A Poem by Saint No-One

There was a time
When I couldn't imagine
Getting up without my
Morning cup of coffee.

She changed that.

Her six AM hair
Hits me like red-eye,
In an airport terminal
10,000 miles away from home.

There was a time
When I couldn't imagine
Living life without
Chasing my next hit.

She changed that.

Her rainforest eyes
Pierce my golden heart,
Like a million needles
Never could.

And there was a time
When no one could imagine
The boy I was becoming
The man I am today.

She changed me.

She calmed my fiery mind,
She braved my stormy past,
To be the wind caught in my sail,
And crack my heart of stone.

She changed me...

About
I am an artist, but my mind doesn't work the way I want it to. One day I'll be, washing myself with handsoap in a public bathroom, thinking how did I get here? Where the hell am I? more..
