6) Discovery -TOBY-

        I showed Jake the picture Alex sent me. 

       "Dude there's no way you can expect her to be okay with that." Jake was saying. I was in Kat's getting ready to tell him about a note I found.
    "Shouldn't I be the one giving you the advice. Just last night you didn't know what I meant by you're toast."
       "Let's just say I'm a quick learner; even if I am British." Jake said and he did have a strong accent. I was just about to say something back when my phone buzzed in my pocket. It was Alex.

      When Alex walked in she had her I'm-gonna-yell-at-you face on. Which kinda scared me, and from looking at Jake squirming behind the counter he wasn't to excited either.

     "Hello Boys." she said walking up to us.

     "Hey Alex. Are you here to yell at Toby? Cause if so I'll leave you alone." Jake almost sounded happy?

     "JAKE?! SHUT UP!" I yelled

     "Jake really..." she rolled her eyes and looked at me. 

     "I can explain the picture..." I started saying, "Ashlee and I were dating, but it only lasted a week before I broke up with her.... Alex?" She was silent.

     "Okaaayyy...what were you saying about that picture you found, Toby?" Jake was trying really hard to change the subject and I was so glad. I handed Alex the picture

    

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

      "This is great,obviously she's at the pier! We need to go there, now!" Alex was pacing around the table, and some lady walked by the window and stared at her like she was a crazy person.

     "Alex! We need Bethanny to come with us though. I think we are going to have to break her out of her own house." I reasoned with her. 

     "Whoa, whoa, whoa, we? More like me and Jake. I'm still mad at you for lying to me."  
     "Alex are you serious? I wasn't even lying to you. I don't understand why you are so upset about this?"  

     "OK you know what, I don't even care anymore. So if you wanna come, come." she said as she grabbed her stuff and stormed out the door.

     "Alex, wait!" I called after her, but she was already gone.

     "What are we going to do?" Jake said and I had totally forgotten that he was even there.

     "You and Alex have to get Bethanny out of her house and then go to the pier. If Alex doesn't want me there, then I won't go." I told him. 

     "We need you though. She's just mad, but if you're the one to break Beth out then she'll probably forgive you a lot quicker."
     "Yeah, I guess you're right."
     "I'll go with her, then I'll text you when it's good to come."
     "Okay, I'll see you later then." I said as I headed toward the door and Jake went to go wipe off some tables. Then added with a smile, "Say hi to Bethanny for me." And I swear he blushed.
