Love

Love

A Poem by Sally Edwards
"

I started to think about when two people fall in love, who perhaps shouldn't...........but we can't always help who we fall in love with. This is based on an old flame from years ago only the outcome was different to my poem. I'm a hopeless romantic, so..

"

You fill up my mind with enticing thoughts
Around and around in my head is all sorts
Such wonderful erotic, sensual images
The tension has been building for ages
When at last they get their release
Will the turmoil finally cease?

You smile that smile, and I can't say no
I falter and know I should really go
Instead into your arms I flow
We kiss lustfully making me glow
Together we sigh and with haste undress
Together we writhe our shyness less

We move together with such animal lust
Until my fears are abated and dust
What was so wrong at the start
Now seems right in my heart
Forever and ever we have to be
For now you are my world you see

I'm confused on this one.... Does this assume that Sexual Lust is the same thing as Love? or have do we assume, that these two have already gone through the mental processes of love, and are just getting to the physical? or is this a heated random moment of passion, like on a one night stand?
It's writen very well, and your images are vivid as always.
I just felt that it was about lust, not love. :) Just my opinion. :)

Like two old flames that meet eachother on a west bound train. And in the middle of the night, as they watch the lights flash by. That flash turns to a flood of desire and lust for eachother. Love got to buy the ticket to the train. But know it's a whole new level.
Great Write! :)

I liked how you chose that particular rhyming pattern; instead of it being a restriction (as I find to be the case at times), it was almost as if having to make it rhyme gave you new words to work with, therefore giving way to some very unique phrases. Good job! =)

Excellent 'summary' of the mix of emotions and passions that border on the gray line...

Very good, thoughtful, sexy poem.

Beautifully written poem. Rhyme doesn't sound forced at all. Imagery, fantastic stuff, the intimacy with this person is highlighted nicely in this poem. Sweet!
