Perched

Perched/……………..BY Sami Khalil

Perched to fly off into the unknown…A romance poem.

The Poem:

The wind stops its whips

The rain halts its drips

The candle burns its tips

The ocean idles its ships

Death tightens its grips

Luck plays its many chips

The joker shares his quips

A lady shows off her hips

The traveler longs for trips

A trace is found on blips

My name perches sadly

on your lethargic lips!

Don't let it go Sam...don't let love flitter away and this was so short and sweet with drops of nectar along the way...everyone is making references to spring like alliteration with amour. It's been a very inspiring day for reading. Thanks for this Sam I'm feeling it.

Wow. Thank you dear beloved for this lovely visit and review. Take care...:).....................
Great staccato lines and rhyming. The world keeps turning even as we are hurting because of a problem with romance. A melancholy ending here. I liked the alliteration in that last line and the red font too. Nicely written. A little different for you. lydi**
