Perched to fly off into the unknown…A romance poem.

The Poem:

 

The wind stops its whips

The rain halts its drips

The candle burns its tips

The ocean idles its ships

Death tightens its grips

Luck plays its many chips

The joker shares his quips

A lady shows off her hips

The traveler longs for trips

A trace is found on blips

My name perches sadly

on your lethargic lips!

Well, I would argue with Microsoft on that one, as you know, sometimes it is wrong, because the program is not recognizing the use of the ocean as a thing that idles -- but anyway, great write.

Yes, romantic but sad.... Someone said to me that being martyr in a literary piece sounds romantic, but in real life, it's masochism. LOL
