Macabre

Macabre

A Poem by Sami Khalil
"

The inner dark side of us. An autumn psychological write...He can refer to our psyche..

"

Macabre/…….By Sami Khalil

A macabre write of the inner self…The dark side of us looking in the mirrors of insecurity...

The Poem:

He took the stages of pillared darkness, loathing in bizarre ways sought-after incarnadine backdrops, where madly arrayed moons withdrew, after the unrest of Sabbath gaps in fragile insecurities.

I saw his face, slicing through hunger and thirst, inspired by the tragic; the realm of shriek and grotesque, where certainty kissed the hands of death responsive to the interruption of life.

Easily broken clouds addressed the self-doubt of insomnia, for my goodness, you could hear souls dancing in the burning of little births.

A shadow of gold he was, but to the court of others, a sharpened knife, seeking footsteps of breathless ashes where many ruins are deep in the essence of wisdom so much that temptations are the sighs in the margins.

Was death with him a happy scene, when I fancied the rhyming of standing ovations, simply caressing the veils at the funerals of regrets?

Those willed to shadow sleep are the phenomenon!

Our ego is only happy when everyone is enslaved. A very proofed write.

You have captured the struggle of the inner self well in this dark, eerie poem. Haunting is the word that comes to mind. Brilliant writing my friend and the picture you chose to accompany your words is perfect.

I'll say a prayer or two for you. Lol... just kidding. Grazie mille...:)........
doubt, insecurity, low self-esteem can make the soul seem repulsive when reflecting.. what stares back at you in the mirror can push you further and further into that darkened madness or can be a wake-up call to clear those monsters out of your closet... not allow them to control you with fear and confusion anymore.. once you take a good deep look, only then can you understand and face them head on... until then, it seems like a twisted, scary journey that is impossible and life a constant torturous struggle... one horror scene after another until your doors are are locked tight and the hallway is littered with your blood and scars... memories that haunt like ghosts along the path... you always blow me away Sami, this one is pretty awesome!... well done... :)

Hmmm....interesting character study here....a haunting one. You have captured the human ego in this one. Does he want the world to love him? Is he trying to please everyone even as he realizes he will never please himself? So deep! Psychologically riveting prose, Sami. Lydi**
