Fire Mosaics

Fire Mosaics

A Poem by Sami Khalil
"

A one spark for all else.

"

It Takes a spark

When of late time, I realize

That smallest of sparks start

Flames that scurry far away

In updrafts of fire mosaics

It tugs within my inner heart

A harness of Stoic silence

So hushed to span life’s size.

re Masaics'
Sami Khalil,
These four words serve the purpose of examining how we live. Does the work, play, motivation to create the right amount of drive to see a thing through thrive within? Does a person even desire to commit to something totally 'in' to where a spark can even happen. Once it does life changes. I remember a song from my adolescent years; 'Pass it on',' and it was referring to the beauty of giving and how that tiniest of fire could bring about a flame. 'It only takes a spark to get a fire going. And soon all those around can warm up in its glowing. That's how it is with God's love once you've experienced it You want to sing, it's fresh like spring. You want to pass it on.
Anyway great little wisdomy words.
Blessings,
Kathy

Wow so vèry true. We never know the fire that might begin based on anything really. It could be as simple as a backhanded comment. For me this poem is a reminder to use words carefully as they have enormous power! Profound poem, loved it!

Wow! So true and well articulated. I like your take on this poem. Much obliged.
there is fire and passion in the world..and sometimes we are only close enough to feel the slightest spark, but not close enough to be absorbed by the flames.

Whoa! You summed it marvelously taking it from both sides of the equation. Brilliant.
dear Sami ... the perfect poem to describe a
lifestyle of Years and tears ignited by a spark... Flames that scurry far away in updrafts of fire mosaics ... it tugs within my inner heart ... A harness of Stoic silence ... So hushed to span life's size. However, your poem is an illusion of romance and the fire that is ignited. A classic rendevouz of the passion of life. truly, Pat

great title...hooked me instantly ... love the sexy pic ..interesting and thought provoking ..the harnessing and hushed to span life
s size ... simple words put together that create a deep level of thought and feeling ..i live in the backwoods so when leaves and dead trees pile up i burn them and your poem is so like those sparks that get caught up in the fires own created thermals ..something one has to really watch out for (so far so good for me) ;) your speaker seems to be musing over a life in which the blessings of fiery love was sparked so innocently into raging fires over a lifetime ... these are the things i think in reading ..had to read it several times ...nice one

When a small spark becomes the mother of the huge wild fire consuming everything in it's way it becomes a real monster. We keep so many emotions, memories, painful experiences, excellent dreams in our deepest layer of the heart . When a spark comes in any form either a reading, or a thought, or a picture, or a mere coincidence of some event it unleashes everything and it becomes larger than our life itself, Intrigue piece of writing, great job

I don't see anything wrong with that. God bless.
This is really beautiful. Sometimes my best writing ideas come to me, as I watch the flames flicker in my woodstove, which is my only heating in winter. The word "mosaic" conveys a TON of imagery, in combination with the rest of your message. Love it! Here's wishing you & your loved ones a very Merry Christmas! (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie
