The Breaking Of Dawn.

The Breaking Of Dawn.

A Poem by SamJoelle
"

This actually came from wanting to write a song, I added guitar to it but I think it can double as a poem as well. If you know who Townes Van Zandt is, the melody is written in his style.

"
Shes awoken in the morning by her favorite melody.
The birds are singing near her window and the birds sing in the trees.
The sun may shine right through the old frame of her house,
and she may smell the coffee, freshly brewed by her spouse.

Waking up is always hardest thing to do.
Especially when you have such, mileage on your shoes.
She may think that she's got nothing, left on this old earth
and she may even question the purpose of her birth.

Shes just another lost soul on life's forgotten mile.
like so many other people, who are forced to fake a smile.
She may have the strongest legs that you have ever seen,
but they aren't enough to keep her head above as she screams.

She may love the smell of the air after each rain,
and you may never understand where she hides all this pain.
With every single sunset, there comes a break of day.
She just may need to hear that you are here to stay.

Yeah, waking up is always the hardest thing to do
but waking up to face the day, is easier with you.

I know it's probably not written correctly in any sense.. so if you can ignore the way its laid out but I'm always up for constructive criticism.
