Make Me Deaf

I wrote this November 9, 2006. I wrote a lot of depressing things during that time.

Make me deaf

So that I may not hear this

Make me blind

So that I may not see this

Make me numb

So that I may not feel this

Let me sleep forever sound

My soul will never in this life be found

Save me from my darkest fears

I've felt all these long years

Take me away, let me never return

Even if to Hell, where I shall forever burn

So many things race through my mind

Forever has been my enemy - time

In my dreams I wish I could escape

But things aren't better even in that place

Now I lay me

Down to sleep

I pray the Lord

Take me so I may not

Weep
