Blank Silence

Blank Silence

A Poem by Chris G. Vaillancourt

Meandering winds
playfully rushing
past the
emptiness of the mind.
Quiet seconds of
contemplation,
introspection,
renewal.

I close my eyes
hoping
everyone has gone away.

How I feel like on a regular basis, but the noisy machinery of life always seems to get in the way.

Thought provoking but rather short. While I agree with JennyBear it's not particularly your best work, it is enjoyable and vivid nonetheless

Inspiring. I know those quiet seconds; my introspective is never so satisfying though, neither are the things I contemplate, so I long for that renewal. Beautiful work.

reminds me of the baby, who thinks that when they cover their eyes you can't see them . . . the thought brought a smile

I loved this as well. It was a beautiful write and the last stanza in general was my favorite line. Good write. Thanks for sharing. :)

If I close my eye and just listened to the words, it feels like a summer evening. Windows open and a light breeze, scattered clouds and it had just rained earlier that day. The images you have created are so breathtaking. You have penned well!
