His Majesty

His Majesty

A Poem by Chris G. Vaillancourt

"
Well, I think this world is happy,
and I think the people are glad.
There's not a smile captivating
like a smile that used to be sad.
The King of all the nations
is having intercourse alone.

What used to be the majority
has dwindled down over the years.
And the soldiers of the King
are products of his happy laws.
Our happily lost Emperor
counts his gold on the dead.

His Majesty sits high on his throne,
blessing the people who came to see.
With all his many duties to perform,
he has allot of faces to be.
There sits our good King
thinking that he used to be free.

They slipped the kid a gun,
from where they wouldn't say.
And the child sure looked good.
He was all set to play.
And then he caught the message
and blew the King away.

A memorable storyline and the Royal chap was depicted in an non regal way other than his title. Interesting. Thanks

This is an interesting tale, though I'm not one for violence in any form. I do, however, understand how it's born and accept its existence.
